Amanita Mushroom Dragon

Of the many dragons in Feyrish wood, none are so diverse and abundant as the Mushroom Dragons. Living out among the fungi and sticking to the damp and murk, they come in many shapes and sizes. While not as majestic as Elemental or Crystal Dragons, these fungal friends are loyal, kind and could sprout up just about anywhere with the right conditions.
What really makes mushroom dragons special is their variety, with them taking on the look of the different fungal forms that grow around them.

Likely the most iconic in the wood is the Amanita, their bright red caps, wings and tails a stark contrast to the mossy greens and browns of the forest floor. As hatchlings they are wingless, with large red caps and pale creamy bodies. As they grow they sprout small wings, and eventually as they reach adulthood, sprout a second red cap upon their tails. A jovial sort of dragon, they cheerfully wander through the woodland seeking the company of all manner of beings.
