Tumshie - Fangs
£60.00
Before we carved lanterns out of pumpkins, we would carve them out of turnips. Some would do so using spoons, others (more sensibly perhaps) would break out the woodworking tools. These spooky little lanterns were referred to as tumshies and are still fondly remembered by many in Scotland.
As Samhuinn draws to a close, those lucky Tumshie lanterns who were charged with enough moonlight and magic become spirits, running through the Otherwood with their flickering lantern eyes glowing, making merry mischief as they go.
The tumshies have hollow heads and are made out of polymer clay and fabric.
